About Us

The TTUHSC Medical Alliance is an organization for spouses and significant others of medical students, residents, and fellows. It is our goal to support each other and offer a base to build friendships through social activities, community services, and helping the TTUHSC School of Medicine in any way we can.

We are involved within the American Medical Association Alliance and the Texas Medical Association Alliance, and operate alongside the LCG (Lubbock, Crosby, Garza) Medical Society Alliance.

The TTUHSC Medical Alliance schedules a variety of activities throughout the year, designed to help members meet and socialize. Our Alliance also initiates and participates in a variety of fundraisers and services to benefit the community around us. Over the past few years we have participated in packaging and shipping boxes for Operation Christmas Child, participated in The Walk To End Alzheimer's, collected donations for the Free Clinic at Lubbock Impact, baked cookies for the Ronald McDonald House, and have held a toy drive for the UMC Child Life Department.

To help raise funds for TTUHSC Medical Alliance activities, we hold Bake Sales where we also sell School of Medicine T-Shirts. We will hold Bake Sales this year where homemade baked goods donated by members, are sold outside the UMC cafeteria by the south-side elevators. Watch for the dates as to when these will be held throughout the year. A variety of School of Medicine T-Shirt designs for adults and children can be purchased at the beginning of the year at TTUHSC Medical Alliance events and by contacting us through email.
